Y is for Yell with your mouth shut

Don’t say it.
Just don’t say it.
You never regret not saying something in anger.  Saying it will only ruin it.  You’re working on something bigger than whatever you’re mad about.  Don’t say it, yell with your mouth shut. As a tiny little Irish rock and roll band said, "Scream without raising your voice".

For that matter, think of the things we never regret...ever hear anyone say, "I wish I spent more time at the office." or "I wish I had had more to drink"? Hmmm.

As always you make a good point. BUT. There are times when being angry shows the kids that they've gone too far, as long as you can do so without losing your temper. Righteous anger can be positive.

I'm for going down to the end of the garden where no one can hear you and yelling with your mouth wide open. It doesn't do to keep things pent up inside but I know exactly what you mean. Words said in anger on the spur of the moment can hurt for many years after.

Excellent! Life is too short to waste any precious bit of it not being grateful, happy, and making sure that those who matter to us know it and feel it.

Very, very good advice! Think before you speak! Wish everyone would do that.

Great advice. I wish I read this when I woke up this morning. Might've held my tongue instead of making a regrettable comment to my love.
Oh, and coincidentally, I've been having a U2 Day (playing their albums, Boy through Atomic,in sequence from beginning to end)

I yell in my head a lot.

edit suggestion: "tiny little" would better "wee" -- c'mon they're Irish!

Liked your line, "what you are trying to build is more important than whatever you are mad about." true. true.
